Execution of construction works on the reconstruction of the high-pressure gas pipeline DN500 Goleniów – Police in the area of the Olszanka reserve and Roztoka Odrzańska – stage II

The aim of the project is the reconstruction and renovation of the DN500 high-pressure gas pipeline Goleniów – Police in the Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship. The task is implemented under the Act of 24 April 2009 on investments in the liquefied natural gas regasification terminal in Świnoujście.

The following elements shall be executed as part of the construction:

DN500 high pressure gas pipeline 8.4MPa, 7.6 km long

4 trenchless HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) crossings

Construction of DN500 pig launcher

Dismantling of the existing gas pipeline approx. 4 km long

Dismantling of the underwater part of the existing gas pipeline laid at the bottom of the Szczecin Lagoon

As part of the task, the longest HDD drill in Poland, 2 km long, was made using the intersect method. The works are carried out in difficult geological conditions in the Olszanka Nature Reserve, where a valuable species of the white-tailed eagle occurs.
