As part of the investment “Construction of the high-pressure gas pipeline DN400 MOP 8.4 MPa branch Psary – Cholewkarska”, NDI Energy company carried out a series of works along a section of approximately 2 km, including:

• construction of a new gas pipeline in unstable terrain,
• carrying out pressure tests,
• HDD drilling under the Widawa River with a length of 321.5 running meters,
• inclusion in the reduction station,
• carrying out encapsulation work for connection to the existing gas infrastructure,
• protective laminate insulation.

The newly established gas infrastructure provided transmission capacity for the planned industrial zone.

During the layout and installation work as well as the drilling, the biggest challenge was the ground conditions, which, due to the proximity of the Widawa River, did not provide the required soil cohesion.

Thanks to the use of, among other things, sheet piling and the proper coordination of the works, it was possible to complete the construction within the contractually required deadline.
