The project involves the construction of a dock bay, then moving the floating dock and obtaining final use permits.

The first stage comprises:

Construction of a dock bay, alteration of a section of the Southern Quay II, reconstruction of a section of the West Quay I, earthworks and dredging works in the dock bay and on the approach track to the dock bay, relocation of the floating dock from its existing location to the newly built dock bay, along with obtaining of a use permit. The deadline for completing this stage is 12 months from the date of handing over the construction site.

The second stage is the Alteration of Pier No. II along with obtaining of a use permit within 6 months from the date of handing over the construction site.

The scope of works includes, among others:

Demolition of the longitudinal slip and the existing quays of the slip bay housing, i.e. the quay connecting the Closing Quay with the Southern Quay II, and demolition of the Southern Quay II at the slip and part of the Western Quay together with the Closing Quay. In addition, construction of new quays for the dock bay housing, strengthening – alteration of quays in the area adjacent to the new dock bay, construction of a new dock bay, sinking new dock dolphins in the area of the new location of the floating dock, construction of a surface for a wheeled crane, supply of utilities to the dock basin, along with an alteration of networks, earthworks, dredging works in the dock bay and at the approach to it, relocation of the floating dock from the existing location to the newly built dock bay.

In the second stage, the demolition of the head of Pier No. II, securing the front of the shortened Pier, alteration of the onshore network, removal of dock dolphins from the area of the old location of the floating dock.

The agreement signed between the Port of Gdynia S.A. and the companies NDI SA and NDI SOPOT SA amounts to PLN 82,757,758.61 gross.
