Yacht marina in Górki Zachodnie
Expansion of three quays and a pier, deepening of the water area and installation of navigation markings. These are just some of the tasks carried out as part of the alteration of the Yacht Port in Górki Zachodnie.
Sailors now have 186 mooring places at their disposal in the renovated City Marina in Górki Zachodnie in Gdańsk. There are also new piers, a breakwater and equipment that increased the comfort of using this place. The investor was the Directorate for the Development of the City of Gdańsk, and the alteration works lasted just over a year.
The scope of works included dredging of the water area to an elevation of -4 meters, dredging approx. 10.7 thousand m3 of soil from the bottom (area approx. 14,000 m2) and construction of navigation markings. The “W”, “S”, “N” quays and the “E” pier were altered. The wooden piers were demolished and new concrete floating piers and a breakwater were built in their place. Wharf equipment was added: mooring bollards, access ladders, fenders, lifebuoy stands, lighting and power pedestals equipped with electrical sockets and water valves, as well as rescue equipment.
The works onshore included, among others: construction of retaining walls (flood protection), a fragment of the sanitary sewage system from the sewage collection point to the septic tank, a fragment of the power grid, cable and telecommunications duct systems were built. There is also a new impressive lighting and information boards.
