Alteration of the Indyjskie Quay
Alteration of the Indyjskie Quay over a length of approximately 540 m, consisting primarily of widening it by 6 m.
The new quay wall will be made of anchored steel sheet piles and pipe piles. The investment project will include, among others: dismantling the hydrotechnical equipment of the quay, dismantling the reinforced concrete cap, tracks and strengthening the bottom.
The area covered by the investment project will be cleared of unexploded ordnance and dredged to an elevation of -15.5 m to enable access to the quay for bulk carriers arriving at the Port of Gdynia.
The alteration includes the construction of a rail and road system, process systems, new elements of quay equipment, the structure of a reinforced concrete cap and a receiving hopper.
Existing flyovers will be extended and transhipment bays serving ships will be relocated.
The general contractor has 22 months to complete the entire contract, but after 16 months it will put the first section of the investment project into operation.
