The scope of works included the modernization of the railway line on track No. 1 from km 131.500 to km 133.918 and from km 150.160 to km 166.653. In particular, replacing the track pavement on a length of approx. 18.900 km of track (including replacing the trackbed on a length of approx. 7.500 km of track and replacing 10 turnouts at Jarocin and Sulęcinek stations) and replacing the surface at 14 rail-road crossings.

The platforms at the stations in Sulęcinek and Jarocin and the passenger stop in Solec Wielkopolski were modernized, as well as 24 engineering structures in the area of the modernized section. In addition, the catenary network, automatic crossing signalling devices, railway traffic control devices were altered and drainage works were carried out.
