The Municipal Stadium in Katowice will be built within the districts of the Witos Housing Estate, Załęska Hałda-Brynów-Western part and Załęże. The area is enclosed to the north by the A4 motorway. The investment has been divided into two stages.

The first, carried out by NDI, involves the construction of the stadium, a sports and entertainment hall, as well as the main square, two full-size training pitches and car parks for coaches and cars. This phase will also see the start of landscaping around the stadium with the construction of roads, pavements and cycle routes.

The stadium will be a single-space structure of a single-storey above-ground character with cubature facilities (kiosks) below the auditorium, while the sports hall is a 3-storey above-ground structure. The entire sports complex will be surrounded by a roofed colonnade of 50×50 cm columns, on which the steel roof structure is supported.

The functional structure of the stadium is shaped by the pitch, the auditorium and the roof. The latter will be formed by 4 sloping stands connected by slanting corners, under which 4 gates are located to allow vehicular access to the pitch (105×68 m) and to ensure ventilation of the pitch (equipped with drainage, irrigation and heating systems).

The first phase of the project will include the construction of approximately 252 parking spaces for cars (including 13 parking spaces for disabled vehicles) and 11 parking spaces for coaches. Part of the traffic system in the vicinity of the stadium will also be built, including pavements. Trees and shrubs will also be planted and landscaping will be installed.
