We will build the Kroczyce bypass along DK 78
NDI S.A. submitted the best bid for the construction of the Kroczyce bypass in the Śląskie Voivodeship. A 9-kilometre section will be built along National Road No. 78. The investment project will also include the construction of two new roundabouts, including one in Żerkowice.
The new bypass will surround Kroczyce, located in the Śląskie Voivodeship, in the Zawiercie County. The investor for this task is the Katowice branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways.
The duties of the general contractor include, among others: construction of two roundabouts, including one in Żerkowice – at the current intersection of national road No. 78 and district road No. 1773S. In addition, the project includes the construction of access roads, reconstruction of existing roads where they are conflicting with the bypass road, as well as the construction of sidewalks, pedestrian and bicycle paths and exits, as well as lighting, vertical and horizontal markings, protective barriers, road fencing and noise barrier and anti-glare screens. Buffer and guiding greenery is to be planted.
Additionally, the investment project includes the implementation of a drainage system with retention reservoirs and equipment for pre-treating rainwater and thaw water drained from the road.
The general contractor is also responsible for securing and altering the underground networks and constructing a number of engineering structures, including: overbridges and animal crossings.
There are 21 months to carry out all the works, excluding winter breaks.
