Poznan Junikowo: The end of work on the tram terminal
The consortium of NDI ENERGY Sp. z o.o. and NDI S.A. has successfully completed the works related to the renovation of the roofing over the bus and tram platforms at Junikowo Station.
The station, which is used by thousands of passengers every day, will be able to serve the residents for many years to come after the renovation is completed. The solution applied during the renovation better protects the roof structure from degradation and improves both the ergonomics and aesthetics of the place.
The works included the installation of a new roof with drainage, installation of utilities and LED lighting. The roof received new insulation and louvre panels were installed on the side walls, which will eventually be covered by a ‘green wall’. Clear covers were installed on the inside to protect passengers from inclement weather. The refurbishment work also included a bicycle shelter and the number of racks was increased.
Despite the considerable modernisation, the station has maintained its unique and familiar form, which is the hallmark of the Poznań Junikowo loop. We are aware of how crucial Junikowo Station is for passengers, which is used not only by the residents of Poznan, but also by nearby towns such as Plewiska and Skórzewo. Working on an investment in their surroundings is both a privilege and a challenge. Delivering a project in a public space, in the heart of the local community, with tight deadlines requires full commitment. Today, we look back on the results of our work with satisfaction and responsibility, confident that we have once again proven our reliability and punctuality as a contractor.
