The NDI – Balzola – WHD Consortium has placed the most advantageous tender for completion of the MCK facility construction project in Katowice

The Consortium of NDI S.A. – Construcciones y Promociones Balzola S.A. – WHD sp. z o.o. has placed the most advantageous tender for the completion of the construction works on the project of the International Congress Centre (MCK) in Katowice. The MCK Centre will neighbour on the Spodek Performance and Sports Hall in the quarter of Roździeńskiego, Korfantego, and Olimpijska Streets.

The value of the Consortium tender stands at PLN 249,426,311.42. According to the terms of contract the investment will be completed on or before 31 August 2014.

The MCK Centre is to take the form of a multifunctional building appended with auxiliary structures, drive-ins, parking sites, and the complete technical infrastructure. The total area of the building will add up to nearly 38 thousand m2, its sizes being: 236 x 92 m and 18 m in height. The congress centre estate will be given five new access roads, a yard, and a corridor linking it to the Spodek Hall. Roof green is envisaged to top the building. The facility will be fitted so as to serve the disabled.
