The PKO BP Rotunda in Warsaw

NDI SA carried out a project to revitalise the PKO Bank Polski Rotunda in Warsaw, one of Warsaw’s most characteristic buildings. The scope of works included, inter alia, demolition of the existing building and construction in its place of a new service facility of the PKO Bank Polski S.A. Rotunda along with full technical infrastructure.

The Rotunda is a single-storey building with a basement extending beyond the building footprint and an extensive mezzanine above the ground floor. The load-bearing structure at the level of the overground storeys is a system of steel columns on which the steel roof structure is based. At the basement level, the main load-bearing structure is a system of reinforced concrete walls and columns. The façade of the new building is made of glass.

Outside, a public amphitheatre with a green wall system is planned. Inside, the banking functions are maintained on floors -1 and 0, while a cultural area for the general public is planned for level + 1.
