The following was said at the ceremony:
Małgorzata Winiarek-Gajewska, President of NDI Group: “This is another of our projects for the Port of Gdynia, following the completed storage yards and the ongoing reconstruction of the Holenderskie and Indyjskie Quays. We are very pleased to be working with the Port of Gdynia on another hydraulic engineering investment. The NDI Group specialises in such projects, and we are currently working in all major Polish ports. Our staff have a lot of experience in this area and the team is ready to take on the biggest projects in this field.”
Jacek Sadaj, President of Zarząd Morskiego Portu Gdynia S.A. (Port of Gdynia Authority): “We are signing today’s contract in one of the most important places in the Port of Gdynia – the Public Ferry Terminal – overlooking the majority of the investments made by the Port of Gdynia Authority in recent years, of which we are very proud. The contract we are signing today with the consortium of NDI S.A. and NDI Sopot S.A. for the “Construction of a docking bay and relocation of a floating dock with ancillary works” is the culmination of all that has been achieved in the port in recent years. We are delighted that this project will be carried out by NDI, as we have a very good track record of investments we have completed together. As a result, in 18 months’ time, a new manoeuvring area will be open to 400-metre vessels calling at the Port of Gdynia.”
