NDI S.A. chosen in a tender for construction of modern sports complex on the Krzywe Lake in Olsztyn

NDI S.A. was chosen in a tender for „Building all-year sports and recreation infrastructure on the Krzywe Lake in Olsztyn”. The price offered by NDI S.A. stands at PLN 58,138,553.61 gross, and the works will take 20 months as of the contract signing date, though no longer than until 30 September 2014. NDI will build the facilities and put in their comprehensive fittings and fixtures.

The investment plan envisages e.g.: construction of multifunctional facilities fit for summer and winter sports, and a trekking trail combining the functions of walking, cycling, and skiing tracks. Specifically, it is planned to put in place the following:

– an all-year base for canoeing sports – a building to house a general exercise hall, ergometers, biological regeneration background facilities, gym, sauna, and a water and winter sports gear hire,
– a centre of water sports and life-saving: saunas and steam baths appended with their necessary back-up facilities and changing rooms for winter swimmers and ice divers, the infrastructure for winter and water sports (ice sailing, skating – on a seasonal rink),
– an all-year beach volleyball hall with squash rooms,
– beach volleyball grounds, outdoor game fields and fitness facilities, a snow/skate park.

The construction works will include new landing stages (fixed and floating), a boathouse for water gear, umpire stands with basic auxiliaries on water, and a water gear hire. The project further envisages building car parks for the visitors.

The project is co-financed from the UE funds under the Warmia and Mazury Regional Operational Programme for the years 2007-2013.
