Diamond Award for the construction of the Vistula Spit Crosscut
We are pleased to announce that the consortium of NDI S.A., NDI Sopot S.A. and N.V. BESIX S.A. was among the winners of the “Infrastructure and Construction Diamonds” competition. The awards were given during the 13th edition of the conference “Polish Infrastructure and Construction,” organised by the Executive Club.
The event took place last week at The Westin Warsaw Hotel. During four discussion panels and three presentations, the invited experts discussed the most important issues of the construction, railway, transport, and infrastructure sectors. Traditionally, the awards ceremony was the culmination.
The “Infrastructure and Construction Diamonds” are awarded to industry leaders who stand out from other companies, becoming a model to follow, as well as a signpost in setting new directions for development.
The consortium that has been carrying out the construction of the Vistula Spit Crosscut was recognised as such a leader. NDI and Besix were appreciated in the category “Project of the Year: Hydraulic Engineering Construction”.
The statuette was received by the director of this project, Jacek Szymański, who in his speech especially thanked 42 people who have been implementing this demanding contract for over 2 years. He also revealed that both financial and material advancement of works has reached approx. 90 percent.
