Construction project in the Port of Gdańsk awarded by the National Labour Inspectorate

The award ceremony for the winners of the National Labour Inspectorate competition – “Build Safely” took place last Friday – on November 22 – at the Main Town Hall in Gdańsk. NDI, the company based in Sopot, has been recognised for work on the project for the expansion and modernisation of the road and rail network at the Outer Port of Gdańsk, winning the 2nd place.
The competition is organised by the National Labour Inspectorate – District Labour Inspectorates in Gdańsk, and its goal is to promote building contractors who, on a daily basis, ensure safe working conditions for all employees participating in the investment process.

‘Safety of employees at the construction site is always a priority for me. The project for which we received the award is characterised not only by the high quality of the works performed and good cooperation with the investor, but above all by its safe implementation. I am very happy that this year the committee of the National Labour Inspectorate once again recognised and honoured NDI sp. z o.o. This confirms the belief that the project is implemented at a high level of OHS – said NDI Construction Manager Maciej Szymański.

The project for the expansion and modernisation of the road and rail network at the Outer Port of Gdańsk implemented by NDI sp. z o.o. this year received the second prize in the Build Safely competition. Last year, the construction of a comprehensive naval sports centre in Gdynia also won the second place. In 2016, NDI SA took the first place for the construction of the waterfront with adjacent storage yards at the DCT Port in Gdańsk and the third place for the construction of residential buildings “TRE – MARE” in Gdańsk.
