We signed the contract. Construction of the Pradła bypass begins
In the Silesian Voivodeship, construction work on the Pradła bypass has begun. This is the second of five bypasses that will be built under the National Road Construction Programme, and the NDI Group is the General Contractor for this project The investor is the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways.
The project is another important element of the DK78 route between Siewierz and Szczekociny. The new bypasses will also increase the capacity of connections with the A1, DK11 and, in the future, with the S11, which will undoubtedly increase the attractiveness of these areas for investors.
The Pradła bypass will be over 2 km long. It will be a single-carriageway road with two traffic lanes with a surface adapted to bear a load of 11.5 tonnes/axle. It will also become an extension of the Kroczyce bypass and will connect with the further route of the DK78 with a length of approximately 1.2 km.
Additional roadways will be constructed to service the adjacent area and to enable access to road maintenance facilities. There will be a roundabout, a road overpass over DW794, a bridge over the Krztynia River and the animal migration route, as well as a crossing for larger animals over DK78.
A drainage system will be built along with road ditches, sections of the storm sewer system, retention reservoirs and devices for pre-treating rainwater and thaw water, which will be drained from the road area. The construction of the bypass also means new sidewalks, pedestrian and bicycle paths and exits, as well as vehicle inspection bays on both sides and road safety devices. The implementation time is 18 months from the date of conclusion of the contract, excluding winter periods. The task will be carried out in the “Build” system. The project cost will amount to PLN 64 million.
