Superbunker for supercomputer at the finish line!

It will be one of the most modern computer centres in this part of Europe. Gdańsk University of Technology is finalising the STOS Competence Centre project, which will feature, among other things, one of the fastest supercomputers in Europe today. The complex will be opened in the first quarter of next year.

The facility was built on the premises of the Gdańsk University of Technology campus, specifically on the slope of Góra Szubieniczna in Gdańsk Wrzeszcz District – in Traugutta Street. It houses the so-called “bunker”, a place with a server room complex and one of the fastest supercomputers in Europe, capable of collecting, processing and archiving huge data sets, as well as performing complex simulations in scientific research.

CK STOS PG, the complex constructed by NDI, will be the new headquarters of the Computer Centre of the Tricity Academic Computer Network of the Gdańsk University of Technology.
