Storage yards at the Port of Gdynia

NDI, commissioned by the Port of Gdynia, constructed new manoeuvring and storage yards in the Logistics Center. An area with a total area of over 17 hectares is used for storing containers and wind farm elements.

Construction took 22 months. During this time, the consortium constructed two yards with concrete surfaces and underground utilities.

The construction of yard no. 1 included the erection of linear drainage and the alteration and construction of underground and above-ground utilities. This also means building of a stormwater sewage, sanitary and water supply network, the so-called hydrant system with a tank and a fire water pumping station.

Power and telecommunications networks were also constructed, as well as two transformer stations, an open storage tank with an access road, and platforms for refrigerated containers.

A similar scope of works was executed for the yard no. 2. Additionally, an access road was built from ul. Logistyczna and a culvert and a temporary road from ul. Logistyczna along the so-called service road to the fire entrance to yard no. 2.
