The main aim of the project is to improve road traffic safety and traffic conditions for all users.

A 5.5-kilometer section of DK91 will be altered, starting at the intersection with ul. Długa in Zawada, and ending at the border with Siedlec Duży, passing through Romanów and Siedlec Mały.

The project includes, among others: alteration of the road with correction of the geometry of the main road lane, entry sections and construction of emergency crossings.

This investment project will not only increase the safety and comfort of drivers, but also pedestrians. Traffic safety devices are planned, such as fences, horizontal and vertical markings, as well as alteration of crash barriers and construction of new traffic lights.

As part of activities related to environmental protection, alteration of culverts under DK91 and in roadside ditches under exits to adjacent areas is planned. Amphibian fences will be built to protect small animals, as well as acoustic screens that will reduce noise by weakening and spreading sound waves.

The alteration of DK91 is an important element of the Trans-European Transport Network.
