The project involved changes, among others, of the communication system in the Outer Port, including the streets: Portowa, Poinca, Kontenerowa and Budowniczych Portu Północnego. There is an additional track to the DCT terminal, new tracks to coal terminals and a modern rail traffic control system. Additionally, a small buffer parking lot for trucks was built, the first in this section of the port.

As part of the project to expand the road and rail system in the Outer Port, carried out by NDI for the Port of Gdańsk, the following streets were altered: Portowa, Poinca, Kontenerowa and Budowniczych Portu Północnego with a total length of 5.6 km.

Four new viaducts were built, and two existing ones were demolished (including one over active railway tracks and the other over the complex of PERN, LOTOS and Naftoport fuel transmission pipes).

The value of the contract is almost PLN 176 million, of which 85 percent is co-financed by the European Union under the CEF (Connecting Europe Facility) program.
