Port in Górki Zachodnie officially opened
NDI Group has completed the extension of three quays and a jetty, dredging of the reservoir and installation of navigational markings. These are just a few of the tasks that were carried out during the reconstruction of the Yacht Port in Górki Zachodnie. The work was completed in December last year. This Saturday, the Marina was officially opened and named after Captain Krystyna Chojnowska – Liskiewicz.
The renovated City Harbour in Górki Zachodnie in Gdańsk now offers 186 berths for those who wish to sail. There are also new platforms, a breakwater and facilities to make the site easier to use. The investor was the Directorate for the Development of the City of Gdańsk, the reconstruction took just over a year.
The scope of works included dredging the reservoir to a depth of -4 metres, removing approximately 10,700 m3 of dredging spoil from the bottom (surface area of approximately 14,000 m2) and implementing navigational markings. The quays “W”, “S”, “N” and the jetty “E” were rebuilt. The wooden platforms were dismantled and replaced with new concrete floating platforms and a breakwater. Quay equipment has been added: mooring bollards, access ladders, fendering, lifebuoy stands, lighting pedestals equipped with electrical sockets and water valves, and rescue equipment.
In terms of land works, the NDI Group has completed the construction of retaining (flood protection) walls, a section of the sanitary sewage system from the sewage collection point to the septic tank, and a section of the power grid, cable and telecommunication duct system. There are also impressive new lighting, surface and information boards.
