NDI will rebuild a 5-kilometre section of DK91
NDI and NDI Sopot, in partnership with SP Sine Midas Stroy, will rebuild the section of DK91 between Markowice and Brudzowice, which is an alternative to the A1 motorway. The investment will improve road safety on the TEN-T network.
The DK91 section is located in the Silesian Voivodeship. It runs through the villages of Winowo, Zabijak and Brudzowice. The road requires improvement mainly for safety reasons. It is necessary to replace the road structure, which will be adapted to the requirements of the load capacity of 11.5 t/axle. As part of the reconstruction, a dangerous intersection with Leśna Street in Zabijak will be closed. The construction of two bays for vehicle inspection by the services will also commence. During the works, temporary process passages between the roadways will be created, which will enable two-way traffic on one of the roadways.
The Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) ensures territorial cohesion of infrastructure investments in the territory of the European Union Member States. TEN-T aims to improve the operation of the single internal market and to stimulate the economic growth of the region. It also facilitates the free movement of people and goods. Reconstruction of DK91 within this system means the creation of a coherent transport network with high technical parameters.
The investment will also include the reconstruction of intersections with transverse roads, reconstruction of bus bays, renovation of roadsides and pavement in an engineering facility, construction of sidewalks, ditches and rainwater sewage system. Road safety devices, environmental protection elements, process channels and road lighting will also be made.
This is yet another investment during which NDI will work with the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways.

The contract is to be completed within 13 months of work plus the so-called winter periods. The winter period from December 16 to March 15 will not be included in the work commencement time.
The contract value is PLN 69,029,304.87 gross.
