Acceptance works are underway at the stadium in Katowice
A modern sports complex that combines an outdoor football stadium with 15,000 seats, a sports hall and extensive training facilities. The construction of the municipal stadium in Katowice is coming to an end, and acceptance works are currently underway.
The newly built stadium is located at ul. Nowa Bukowa in Katowice, which refers to the history of the GKS Katowice football club and the previous facility at ul. Bukowa. The project included the construction of a stadium with stands for 15,000 people, a sports and entertainment hall that could accommodate nearly 3,000 spectators, a main square, two full-size training pitches and a parking lot.
– We reported the facility as ready to commence acceptance after 38 months of work. In this project, approximately 2.5 thousand people participated in the construction process, almost 300 workers per day. We participated in the creation of one of the most important sports facilities in the region and we are proud of the role played by the NDI Group here – says Arkadiusz Tuszkowski, Project Director.
NDI Group, in its role of the General Contractor, is also responsible for the development of the area around the stadium and the construction of roads, sidewalks and bicycle routes. The cost of construction works related to the construction of the stadium and the hall is approximately PLN 281 million gross. The investor is Katowickie Inwestycje SA.
