NDI to build a Teaching and Examination Centre for the Medical University of Białystok
A modern Teaching and Examination Centre will be built on the premises of the Medical University of Białystok, which will include lecture, examination and conference rooms. The general contractor will be NDI S.A. Central Region.
The project includes the construction of a new centre, including the preparation of design documentation, obtaining a building permit and applying for occupancy permit. NDI will also supervise the investment project during its implementation.
The Teaching and Examination Centre will consist of three floors: two above ground and one underground floor intended for garages/warehouses.
On the ground floor, a teaching and conference space has been planned that will be able to accommodate approximately 2,000 people at a time, with the additional possibility of modular construction, which will allow this space to be transformed into four 80-person rooms, or into three rooms for 300 people.
The first floor will be a space for, among others, conducting OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) exams, which is a tool for assessing clinical skills. There will be at least 6 rooms with facilities, each divided into 2 rooms separated by a one-way mirror – in one of the rooms the student completes the task, and in the other his/her performance is assessed by the examiner.
On the same floor, there will also be 12 seminar and lecture rooms, as well as space for the UMB Centre of Teaching Excellence, which will accommodate approximately 40 people.
The building, whose investor will be the Medical University of Białystok, will cover over 10 thousand square meters almost 3.5 thousand square meters of building area, and its cubic capacity will amount to over 33 thousand m3. The time to complete the task is 18 months.
